stoma® micro-screw - the versatile bone fixation
For more than 15 years, the stoma® micro-screw has been used successfully and reliably by a large number of speakers, specialized users and beginners due to the simple and safe handling.
Stoma / Storz am Mark developed the stoma® micro-screw with Prof. Dr. F. Khoury. After that, Stoma / Storz am Mark patented the stoma® micro-screw and has been producing it since then. Since 2009 the stoma® micro-screw is successfully established on the market and internationally registered, e.g. also in the USA.
Only the stoma® micro-screw made the bone shell technique possible, which is now known worldwide. It proves to be particularly beneficial for small and thin cortical bone graft transplants, also called shells. In addition, the stoma® micro-screw shows its efficiency in very narrow spaces, e.g. single tooth defects, where space restraints make the use of traditional bone fixation screws impossible.
The stoma® micro-screw is thus used in various augmentation techniques, such as lateral and horizontal bone augmentation, as well as 3D bone augmentation via tunnel technique. It’s ideal for those who work in the area of bone management and want to further specialize in it.
The advantages of the stoma® micro-screw:
extended possible applications by means of a small diameter of the screw head
high stability due to special steel alloy even with reduced diameter of 1,0 mm and 1,2 mm
previously available in screw lengths 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 mm, now also available in intermediate lengths of 9, 11 and 13 mm
ensures an easy and safe handling
allows a safe fixation by means of its thread structure even for very fine bone graft transplants
no osseointegration thanks to the special material, making it easy to remove after bone regeneration
T-Tome in hammer form acc. to Dr. Abdelsalam Elaskary
A new generation periotome designed to mimic the original tooth and socket curvature, thus minimizing the likelihood of tissue perforation or laceration.
Bone graft holding forceps acc. to Dr. Jochen Tunkel
These forceps according to Dr. Jochen Tunkel, are used for holding and placing bone plates even in areas that are difficult to access, for example for bone shell technique.
Tunnel instruments dark line acc to. Prof. Dr. Dr. Anton Sculean, M.S.
Convince yourself of the advantages of this new and unique series of instruments:
easy and quick to clean handle design
ergonomic and targeted haptics as well as precise and safe instrument guidance
the dark, elegant surface design of hy-grip® dark line reduces light reflections under a magnifying glass or microscope and provides more contrast
hy-light® - Hygienic lightness.
Like the hy-grip® instruments, the hy-light® instruments also allow an ergonomic and targeted feel as well as precise and safe instrument guidance. In addition, however, they make your work easier thanks to the up to 25% reduction in weight and the open handle design, which is easy and quick to clean.
