Dent-a-cav® is a temporary sealing compound which is available ready for use, optionally in white or pink. Dent-a-cav ensures rapid hardening in the cavity adheres well to dentin and enamel and provides excellent marginal seal. It can be easily removed with a probe. Dent-a-cav® also ensures a reliable seal due to its great resistance to masticatory pressure. Dent-a-cav® is gentle on pulp and gingiva, and since it does not contain eugenol, it does not interfere with a subsequent composite filling.
