Direct and Indirect Pulp Capping with Hoffmann`s Pulpine. The matrix with eugenol and propolis sets quickly and limits the possible side effects of alkaline calcium hydroxide, such as permanent stimulus or uncontrolled necrosis. The antibacterial properties of propolis (bee resin) supplement the disinfecting properties possessed by calcium hydroxide. Very good biocompatibility. Relieves pain.

Eugenol is made of natural clove oil. It is one of the WHO tradtitional herbal medicines and has a long tradition of soothing tooth pain

Both cloves and the oil extracted from them have been used for centuries as a spice and flavouring agent. The analgesic effect of clove oil in the mouth has been known since Ibn Sina.
